Artist Education
Program year 2027

Education · 2027

Every attendee leaves holding bitcoin. Then we train the next teacher.

Our eight-session curriculum on sound money and Bitcoin for artists is already free on our website. In 2027 we turn it into a program that grows beyond one teacher: a facilitator guide, a recorded course, live webinars, classrooms in two cities, and four new facilitators trained to teach it in their own communities.

The curriculum

What Is Money? · Bitcoin for Artists: Unlocking New Creative Freedom · Bitcoin in Practice for Artists · Protecting Your Bitcoin: Security and Self-Custody · Sound Money, Better Art · Bitcoin and the Creator Economy, in three sessions: the incentive, building your audience, and the tools, platforms, and payments that let an artist get paid directly. The last session teaches the value-for-value tools we use for our own releases, such as Fanfares and Nostr.

Education is practical: sound-money economics, self-custody, receiving, and sending. Open to working artists and to anyone who wants a clear foundation in sound money. The curriculum stays free to reuse.

Who teaches it

Dion Wilson, lead instructor. Founder and Executive Director of Bitcoin for the Arts. Sixteen years as a principal dancer, and a teacher who has mentored more than 10,000 students at schools and conservatories across the United States and abroad.

Co-facilitators & educator cohort. Working artists and educators building the facilitator model from our live webinars and teaching sessions in their own communities.

Already in public

The full eight-session curriculum is on bitcoinforthearts.org, with live webinar and classroom registration. Seventeen artist stories are on YouTube and in the podcast feed. In 2026 we funded Ainsley Costello, Aksana Zasinets, and Christopher Arcella.
